Copper Ridge parents and DC Ranch residents, we need your help!!! Sprint Nextel is installing a 120 foot cell phone tower right on Copper Ridge School’s campus next to our children’s bike racks, cafeteria and playing fields!!! We can’t even begin to understand how this commercial company can use a public school ground for this? Sprint Nextel is paying the Scottsdale Unified School District $1,200 a month for this massive cell mast! Not only does Copper Ridge not get a penny of this but our children and teachers will be exposed to daily electromagnetic radiation! Studies have shown that daily exposure to even low dosages of this radiation can extremely harmful for both children’s brain and nervous system development. Clusters of cancer have been found around cell towers everywhere! We CAN’T have microwave radiation at our school or on our playgrounds! This is a campus with almost 1,500 children not including all of our Staff members. Please make a personal phonecall to the SUSD Superintendent, Dr. Peterson The Los Angeles County Board of Education (the largest in the nation) prohibits any cell phone towers on Any of their school campuses…how can we allow our children to be harmed in any way?
